Join a Gospel Community
Gospel Communities are small groups that gather mid week in our homes.
We gather to find grace (love and care for each other as God's family), learn hope (grow in our discipleship to Jesus), and be light (live as everyday witnesses to God's work in the world).
Our Gospel Communities read the Bible together and share how it applies to everyday life. We also pray for each other, eat together and support each other as we share the light of Jesus in the world around us.
We have two kinds of Gospel Communities
Weekly groups: Most of our Gospel Communities meet weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings across the Inner West
Parent groups: We also run groups especially designed for parents who care for young children. These groups meet on alternating fortnights so that each parent can take turns coming to GC. Our parent groups also meet monthly for meals altogether.
Kids in Gospel Communities
Kids are valued members of St Oswald's, and we love having them participate in our Gospel Communities, especially as we share meals together. Many of our kids are asleep or at home when we meet to read the Bible and pray together, but they are often present for shared meals and other actitvities.
